CONTAINER TERMINAL

NUTEP, JSC — container terminal and auto-ferry terminal for handling the Ro-Ro cargo with equipped deep water berth, total length 754 m, the high-tech plant of the maritime transport system in the South of Russia. From January to August 2011 NUTEP throughput achieved 137 466 TEU, it meens 32% of the total container cargo port of Novorossiysk. In the past year NUTEP throughput was 124 000 TEU and 320 000 tons of auto-ferry cargoes.

The container terminal was created “from scratch” on the basis of modern concepts of construction. The terminal has three loading berths for container ships, railway loading front sufficient to form and send block trains, and equipped with an electronic containers positioning system . Technical equipment of the terminal meets all current requirements and can handle ships Post Panamax.

NUTEP development plan provides

  • Building the berth № 38 by 2015. The total area is 4 hectares. Depth is up to 15 m. Length is 294 m. According to these specifications  the berth № 38 will be the only one berth in port of Novorossiysk be able to serve ocean container ships (up to 5 thousand TEU). End of project works and the building beginning is planned for 2012. General building plan is confirmed by Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation
  • Displacement of railway branch in 2012 and building of 5-route park with useful length 380–540 m, which will allow to double  storage containers capacity from current 9 780 TEU

Grain terminal

JSC “Kombinat “Stroykomplekt” (KSK) is a specialized terminal of general and grain cargoes with designed capacity of 3.5 million tons of grain per year.

Infrastructure

  • 3 silos with capacity 3300 tons each
  • 2 routes device for grain discharge from motor transport
  • transport galleries to docks 40, 41
  • 2 conveyer belts for transhipment,  max. capacity 1 600 tons per hour

Grain terminal development plan in 2012 provides installing of 9 new silos with total volume of 110 000 tons, construction and putting into operation of complex for discharge 1.5 million tons of grain per year by railway. It  provides to achiev designed capacity of 3,5 million tons of grain per year.

Integrated facilities for oil products transhipment 

Integrated facilities for oil products transhipment («Novorosnefteservice» Ltd. / “Novorossiyskiy nefteperevalochnyi kompleks” Ltd.) is the association of plants located in and outside port, equipped with railway discharge trestle, tanks,  tank trucks and bunker complex to provide logistic chain for storage, transhipment and wholesale of fuel oil, gasoline and diesel fuel.

  • “Novorossiyskiy nefteperevalochnyi kompleks” Ltd (NNK) provides bearth facilities

Infrastructure

  • “Novorosnefteservis” provides 2 railway trestles for 8 and 12 cisterns, charge&discharge points, light oil products storage park with capacity of 25 000 m3, fuel oil facilities of 5600  m3, boiler, weight control equipment, new car fleet
  • Transhipment designed capacity of transfer of integrated facilities is over 500 000 tons of oil products per year

From August 2011 upgraded anchor storage depot started operating in normal mode.
