DeloPorts, the stevedoring holding of the Delo Group, and state authorities operating in the port of Novorossiysk started organizing joint work in a new Russian border crossing point. The cooperation will enhance the coordination processes related to the state control procedures at the boarder crossing, it will lower the risks of potential administrative regimes’ violations and controversial situations. The port infrastructure location will be readjusted accordingly upon necessity.
The new maritime cargo-passenger permanent crossing point at the Russian Federation state border in the seaport of Novorossiysk was approved by Order of the Transport Ministry of Russia on October 17, 2022, № 415. After registration with the Russian Justice Ministry on November 24, 2022, it came into force.
Commenting on the launch of the new border crossing boundaries, Igor Yakovenko, CEO of the DeloPorts, said: “We are grateful to the Transport Ministry of the Russian Federation, especially the executives of the State Policy Department for the State Border Crossing Point Facilities, and to all employees on the field for the tremendous work they have accomplished.
Such basic Orders take a long time to prepare, but they are vital for all the structures working in the port. For DeloPorts it is especially important now after the start of regular vehicle ferry services from Turkey. A clear view of the state' s jurisdictional boundaries will provide the necessary interaction and prevent any undesirable situations from arising”.
