Containers arriving by sea to Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company terminal (part of Global Ports, located in the port of Vostochny in Primorsky Krai) are then shipped via container block trains from Nakhodka-Vostochnaya directly to Kostarikha station in Nizhniy Novogorod. Travel time is 11 days. The trains depart every 10 days. The service is aimed at the import from Asia-Pacific countries addressed to the Volga regions of Russia. Previously, the cargo was first transported from the Far Eastern terminal to Moscow with further delivery to Nizhny Novgorod and other regions.
The first container train with 139 TEU arrived at TransContainer terminal at Kostarikha station on November 24th, 2024.
