Moby Dik Terminal in Kronstadt Expands Its Equipment Fleet

Global Ports, Russia’s leading operator of marine container terminals, (part of Delo Group) is updating the fleet of equipment at its Moby Dik marine container terminal in Kronstadt. In the fall, the terminal received a new tractor and loader. Two more similar units of equipment will arrive at Moby Dik by the end of the year.

The Holding is expanding the equipment fleet of the Kronstadt terminal against the backdrop of increasing cargo throughput in the Baltic basin. The volume of container handling at Global Ports' northwest marine terminals tripled year-on-year to 482,000 TEU in the first 9 months of 2024. Moby Dik handled 31.3 thousand TEUs in the three quarters of 2024, 2.5 times more than in the same period a year earlier.

New terminal tractors and loaders have high maneuverability and improved control system. The equipment will enable more efficient transportation of containerized and general cargoes. < Back to list
