TransContainer has increased transportations of containers in open wagons

PJSC TransContainer has increased transportations of containers with imported goods in open wagons from Far East.

In September 2024 the company has dispatched 52 trains with 7.8 thousand TEUs using this technology. It is 1.5 times more than in September 2023 and is the largest number in this year.

Totally TransContainer has forwarded more than 45 thousand TEUs in open wagons that is 321 trains.

Transportation of a container in an open wagon is used to balance foreign trade cargo flows on the background of congestion at the Eastern range and overstocking of containers with imports at Far Eastern terminals. Last year imports exceeded exports 1.5 times, this year – 2 times, which means that for every 1 container with exports there are 2 containers with imports. < Back to list
