TransContainer strengthens cooperation with China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

PJSC TransContainer (part of Delo Group) and the Chinese State Company Inner Mongolia Foreign Trade Development Co., LTD (IMFT, established to support projects aimed to expand Inner Mongolia's economic potential) have agreed to cooperate in order to increase the transportation volumes between China, Russia and Mongolia.

The agreement was signed by Victor Markov, Vice President of TransContainer, and Li Jinsong, Chairman of the Board of IMFT, during the TransRussia 2023 exhibition.

The document provides a set of measures aimed at the development of container logistics between Russia and China. The parties will consider the possibility to organize additional container trains to transport cargo through Russian-Chinese land border crossings using the end-to-end technology.

Inner Mongolia is located in northern China and has a land border with Russia and Mongolia. The autonomous region plays an important role in transit cargo traffic between China and Russia.

"The joint cooperation of the two major companies will certainly provide a momentum to the state's New Silk Road initiative. IMFT's rich business-oriented experience and TransContainer's developed network of assets will guarantee long and productive cooperation," said Viktor Markov. < Back to list
