TransContainer will Invest 1.6 Billion Rubles in Acquisition and Modernization of Lifting Equipment at Terminals in 2024
In 2024, investments of PJSC TransContainer in the acquisition and modernization of lifting equipment at terminals in the regions of Russia will amount to more than 1.6 billion rubles. Of this amount, 1.3 billion rubles will be allocated for crane equipment, and 300 million rubles for the purchase of reachstackers.
The largest portion of the funds is earmarked for the acquisition of two cranes for the new container yard at the Kleshchikha terminal (Novosibirsk), which is currently under construction as part of the terminal reconstruction project. The total handling capacity of these cranes, considering the yard's capabilities, is estimated at 82,000 TEUs per year.
Cranes are scheduled to be replaced at the Magnitogorsk-Gruzovoy, Omsk-Vostochny, Arkhangelsk, Chernikovka (Ufa), and Chita terminals. Modernization of the gantry crane will take place at the Pozim terminal (Izhevsk), and the overhead crane will be upgraded at the company’s container repair site in St. Petersburg. New reachstackers are planned to be purchased for the needs of TransContainer's regional container terminals.
Scheduled renewal of the equipment contributes to the improvement of the quality of TransContainer’s terminal services and maintenance of uninterrupted and safe operation of the sites. Thus, the implementation of the above projects will increase equipment productivity and improve the reliability of its operation. < Back to list
