TransContainer launches multimodal service for cargo transportation between Russia and Vietnam
PJSC TransContainer (part of Delo Group) launched its new multimodal service for cargo transportation from/to Russia and the CIS countries to/from Vietnam through Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company’s terminal (VSC, part of Global Ports, in which 61.5% of shares are held by Delo Group) and China’s port of Nansha.
In the framework of the service export cargoes are delivered from various regions of Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to VSC and then transported by sea to China’s port of Nansha; being bound ultimately for Vietnam’s ports of Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh. The service also operates in the opposite direction for import deliveries.
TransContainer provides its own equipment and makes transportation arrangements in relation to the railway and the sea part of the route. Transit time between VSC and Vietnam is some 25 days. There are plans to undertake transportation once every two weeks.
“The launch of a new service in shipments to and from Vietnam, one of Russia’s leading trade partners in the Asia-Pacific region, will make it possible to meet the growing needs of our customers in the transportation of raw materials and consumer goods. Extensive experience in the international multimodal service arrangements, as well as synergetic effect from cooperation with our group colleagues would allow us to offer a perfect quality service and ensure transportation control across all phases,” Nikita Pushkarev, Sales and Customer Service Director at TransContainer noted.
