On July 1, 2019, a working meeting was held between Sergey Shishkarev, the President of Delo Group, and Eli Glikman, the CEO and the President of ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd (ZIM).
Projects of the development of companies were presented during the meeting. Delo Group presented plans for the development of its transport and logistics assets and announced the imminent commissioning of the deep-water berth No. 38 at the container terminal NUTEP (Novorossiysk). Mr. Glikman, in his turn, spoke about the plans of the development of the ZIM linear container service in the port of Novorossiysk as part of the cooperation with the 2M alliance.
In addition, the parties discussed the possibility of coordinating efforts for organizing integrated forwarding support for cargo traffic, noting the importance of implementing digital solutions in the transport industry, including the organization of effective interaction between all participants in foreign economic activity. An example of successful digitalization of business processes, in particular, is that ZIM has become the first container line, which at the end of 2017 was registered for sea transportation by paperless bill of lading using the blockchain technology. For its part, Delo Group takes part in a pilot blockchain project based on the TradeLens digital platform launched in early June at Global Ports terminals in St. Petersburg.
